About Brittany Aicher

Brittany Aicher, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained vascular surgeon. She is a leader in the diagnosis and treatment of the full spectrum of vascular disorders and specializes in complex open and minimally invasive interventions for vascular disease. These include advanced open and endovascular treatment of peripheral artery disease, thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms and dissections, carotid artery disease, hemodialysis access, treatment for acute and chronic deep venous thrombosis, and management of chronic venous insufficiency, including varicose veins. Dr. Aicher works closely with her patients to provide comprehensive, expert vascular care that is personalized to meet their unique needs and goals. She offers both surgical and medical therapies to achieve the best outcomes so patients can get back to their lives as soon as possible. Dr. Aicher’s research has appeared in numerous peer-reviewed publications, and she has presented nationally on vascular surgery topics. She has won numerous research and teaching awards.

Dr. Aicher earned her medical degree from New York Medical College, where she graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha status. She completed her residency in General Surgery at University of Maryland Medical Center, where she completed a research fellowship studying molecular pathways involved in the development of aortic aneurysms and dissections. She completed her vascular surgery fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, part of Harvard Medical School.
