Maliha Ahmad, MD

Maliha Ahmad, MD, is a skilled hepatologist with expertise in liver disease at St. Joseph’s Health. She is board-certified in internal medicine and fellowship-trained in hepatology and liver transplants. Dr. Ahmad has nearly two decades of experience in both general and transplant medicine and uses her fascination with how the body works to help restore the body’s balance. Following in her physician father’s footsteps, she provides compassionate, advanced care tailored to meet each patient’s individual needs and builds strong relationships with her patients based on trust and mutual respect. 

Dr. Ahmad earned her medical degree from St. Christopher College of Medicine in Africa. She performed her fellowship at UNMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and was a resident in Jersey City Medical Center. In addition to English, Dr. Ahmad speaks Punjabi, Urdu and Spanish.
