Matthew Ostroff, APN, is an advanced practice nurse specializing in vascular access at St. Joseph’s Health. With international training and a focus on innovation, he has pioneered multiple bedside placement techniques to improve patient comfort and precision during vascular access procedures, including arm port placements. His work has helped expand the use of minimally invasive techniques that can be performed outside of the operating room, providing faster, safer, and more convenient options for eligible patients.

As a national and international educator in vascular access, Ostroff is committed to advancing the field through training, collaboration, and patient-centered innovation.

Matthew Ostroff was named the American Cancer Society's 2025 Medical Professional of the Year for his work in advancing bedside placement of arm ports for chemotherapy. 

He earned his nurse practitioner degree from Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions. He is board-certified as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
