Sameer Azhak, MD

Sameer Azhak, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist who leads the Advanced Cardiology Practice at St. Joseph’s Health. With expertise spanning invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular disease, he specializes in complex lipid disorders, metabolic syndrome, and comprehensive risk-based preventive cardiology. His patient-centered, academic-focused approach includes level II non-invasive imaging, such as echocardiography and nuclear cardiology, as well as level III interventional procedures.

Dr. Azhak earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark. He then pursued fellowship training in cardiovascular disease at Seton Hall University School of Graduate Medical Education, along with additional graduate medical training at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center and Trinitas Hospital.
