Satish Tiyyagura, MD is a board-certified Cardiac Electrophysiologist at St. Joseph’s Health. He leads the Electrophysiology Laboratory at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center.

Dr. Tiyyagura has been at the forefront of advanced cardiac rhythm therapies, offering complex arrhythmia ablation, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, leadless pacemakers, Watchman® device implantations, and lead extractions. He is also a dedicated clinical educator, key clinical faculty in the Cardiology Fellowship Program at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center. Patients love his clear explanations, calming presence, and empathetic care.

Dr. Tiyyagura earned his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed residency training in internal medicine and clinical pharmacology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals. He furthered his education with fellowship training in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He holds board certifications in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, clinical cardiac electrophysiology, and nuclear cardiology, and is recognized as a Fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Society.
