About Stephen Dunay

Stephen Dunay, MD is a board-certified physician specializing in both emergency medicine and pain medicine. He focuses on the treatment of chronic pain using a combination of medication management and interventional procedures to help patients regain function and improve their quality of life. In addition to his work in pain management, Dr. Dunay also continues to practice emergency medicine.
Dr. Dunay earned his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, followed by a transitional year internship at Madigan Army Medical Center in Ft. Lewis, Washington. He completed the U.S. Army’s Flight Surgeon Course at Ft. Rucker, Alabama, and served as Task Force Sinai’s flight surgeon in Egypt. He then returned to Madigan to complete his emergency medicine residency and later served as an emergency physician and department chair at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky.
After his honorable discharge from the Army, Dr. Dunay practiced in South Florida before returning to the tri-state area and completing a fellowship in interdisciplinary pain management. He is board-certified in both emergency medicine and pain medicine.
