Vinay Manohar Tak, MD is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon with over three decades of global surgical experience. He specializes in advanced cardiac and thoracic procedures, including minimally invasive valve and lung surgery, complex aortic operations, and endovascular treatments. His expertise spans multiple continents and healthcare systems, bringing a unique depth of knowledge to his practice.

Dr. Tak earned his medical degree from Nilratan Sircar Medical College at the University of Calcutta, India, followed by a Master of Surgery in General Surgery at the same institution. He completed accredited cardiothoracic surgical training through the Royal College of Surgeons in the United Kingdom, including fellowships and senior registrar positions at Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast and Papworth Hospital in Cambridge. After relocating to the United States, he pursued multiple fellowships in cardiothoracic surgery, including programs at Heart Institute of St. Vincent’s Hospital in Oregon and Baystate Medical Center in Massachusetts. He completed his general surgery residency at New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens, where he also served as chief resident, and went on to complete a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at St. Louis University Hospitals and Cardinal Glennon Hospital in Missouri. He is board-certified in both general surgery and thoracic surgery and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.
